It’s been way too long since my last blog! Since the last blog, we’ve enjoyed a nice Easter weekend. The kids loved hunting for their eggs in my parent’s backyard. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we had a really a very blessed day.
John had his testing and interview for the police officer opening at the Umatilla Indian Reservation in mid-April. It went so well and they offered him a job on the same day! He was so happy to finally get to do his dream job. He has been working towards this opportunity since he was in high school and it is such a blessing to finally see his hard work pay off. His first day was May 1st and then in the end of May he will head off to the Academy for a 16 week training in Salem. Please keep our family in your prayers as this will be a very difficult time for him to be gone with my pregnancy and due date during that time. The kids will be missing him a lot as well although we will try to see him or get him home on the weekends as much as possible.
Last weekend we spent a wonderful weekend with John’s family in Seattle. John’s brother Dan married his sweetheart Elizabeth in a beautiful and breathtaking ceremony on the 28th. We had such a great time seeing all the family and the kids had a blast playing with their cousins. John was the Best Man and attended to his duties while the kids and I enjoyed the company of our family and helping out wherever we could. We are so proud of Dan and Beth and we are so excited to see what God has in store for them over these next few months and years.
Finally, this week we hope to find out the sex of the new baby. I will have my big ultrasound where they will measure the baby and check to see that all is still going smoothly and the baby is healthy. We’ll keep you updated!
