..........!

Sorry it has been so long since our last post! We have had a very interesting week...I came down with the flu and spent a day in the hospital while the kids spent most of the week with my parents! Now that we are healthy, my rents are sick...pray for them! John has been doing well. School is going good for him and we've been able to spend a couple weekends with him so far. My pregnancy has gone fairly well, less the flu. I have been having quite a few contractions, but history is just repeating itself! I almost 27 weeks and if history continues to repeat, I only have about nine weeks left (until 36 weeks). Thank you all for your prayers and support! I'll try to post some pics soon!

Blah...blah........

Hello all! Not much going on right now. John is turning 29 on Saturday, May 19th. He’s less than thrilled. He doesn’t ever seem to get very excited when functions are about him.
Other than that, we purchased a new minivan about two weeks ago and it’s great! It has a little more room than our old one and a whole-lot less miles!
Please continue to pray for our family as we continue to prepare for John’s training in Salem over the next 4 months as well as my pregnancy. Just to keep things exciting, we’ve added trying to purchase a new home to our list of things we are doing this summer…..as if we needed anything else!
God is always faithful and we know his ultimate plan for us will be great! Have a blessed week!

And the verdict is....

....we're having a......GIRL! Yes, the Lord will bless us with another girl. Just thought all might like to know. Everything and everyone is healthy.

Way, way too long...

It’s been way too long since my last blog! Since the last blog, we’ve enjoyed a nice Easter weekend. The kids loved hunting for their eggs in my parent’s backyard. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we had a really a very blessed day.
John had his testing and interview for the police officer opening at the Umatilla Indian Reservation in mid-April. It went so well and they offered him a job on the same day! He was so happy to finally get to do his dream job. He has been working towards this opportunity since he was in high school and it is such a blessing to finally see his hard work pay off. His first day was May 1st and then in the end of May he will head off to the Academy for a 16 week training in Salem. Please keep our family in your prayers as this will be a very difficult time for him to be gone with my pregnancy and due date during that time. The kids will be missing him a lot as well although we will try to see him or get him home on the weekends as much as possible.
Last weekend we spent a wonderful weekend with John’s family in Seattle. John’s brother Dan married his sweetheart Elizabeth in a beautiful and breathtaking ceremony on the 28th. We had such a great time seeing all the family and the kids had a blast playing with their cousins. John was the Best Man and attended to his duties while the kids and I enjoyed the company of our family and helping out wherever we could. We are so proud of Dan and Beth and we are so excited to see what God has in store for them over these next few months and years.
Finally, this week we hope to find out the sex of the new baby. I will have my big ultrasound where they will measure the baby and check to see that all is still going smoothly and the baby is healthy. We’ll keep you updated!

Spring...

I can't believe spring has sprung already! It's so nice to have the front door open and the fresh air coming in! The kids are loving being outdoors whenever we can. They are both getting so big! I can hardly believe it. I was looking through pictures of Jeremiah when he was Alison's age and they look so similar! Oh, how time flies! Hope you all have a great-sunny week!
SOOOOO CUTE~!

Check-up....

So yesterday we had a check-up for me and the baby. Everything looks great and so far baby is on track! Jeremiah, Alison and Mom joined me and they got to hear the baby's heartbeat and see an u/s...all very exciting!

After my appointment we took the kids to the park for a very brief visit in the cold..they loved it!

Growing...

Well...it's official. The kids aren't the only ones growing these days! My belly is starting to get quite round for only being in the first trimester. All is good with our family though. We have a check-up this week and hopefully that will bring an updated u/s of baby.

I love you, LORD; you are my strength.
Psalm 18:1 NLT

Be fruitful this week....love Him more than ever....forever.
